As some of you know, I had a tabby cat named Tigger that I had for over 10 years. Well, about 3 months ago, he disappeared and has never returned to the house. I miss him oh so much! So, I had been without a cat, for the first time, until November. 19th. Lil' Romeo was born October 8th and a coworker of mine let me take him home at 6 weeks old and 2.2 lbs, on Monday, November 19th. I fell in love with him at first site. He is so cute, friendly, cuddly, and has has the funniest sense of humor. I should have named him Booger though because that just fits him well. One day, I left him in my bathroom thinking that he wouldn't mess anything up. Well I guess on that day he learned to jump because when I got home the toilet paper was everywhere...the whole role! It was quite hilarious. Now, I keep him in the garage only because it's bigger and he has more room to run around and play. Whenever I walk out to feed him/play with him, his back hunches up and he walks sideways, like he's going to (at anytime) launch towards me to smack my feet...which is hilarious to see. Monday, Dec. 17th, he'll be 10 weeks old. He's growing fast and getting so big. I love to see my Grandma hold him in her lap because he is so calm with her and she loves him. That alone just makes me smile. I'm getting off the subjet here, but another thing that makes me smile is listening to my Grandma, in my car, sing to the Christmas songs on the radio. As you know, she is 99 years old and is losing her hearing, her eye sight, and memory more and more everyday...so to actually see her and hear her sing songs (that she hasn't forgotten) is a beautiful thing. :)

I'M EXCITED!

Okay, so I'm at work right now, supposed to be working, but I am too excited for what's going to happen in a month or so. I found out that my mom and I are going to see Dame Julie Andrews at the Hobby Center, downtown Houston, on Monday, December 3rd. My mom got VIP tickets which alows us to go behind stage and meet her in person, recieve an autographed book of hers, and take pictures. :) The reason why I am excited is because I have admired her since I was a little girl and saw her in The Sound of Music and other movies as well. It has always been a dream of mine to meet her in person or at least see her in person, but to actually be able to meet her in person will be a dream come true. :) If I get a good picture with her, I will definately post it.

To all who've wanted to see a new blog... :o)
So, what do I talk about? I really can't tell you what happened on the last leg of my Cali vacation because I can't remember the whole thing now since it's been 3 months since then. All I remember is that it was a bunch of fun.
Anyway, I want to let everyone know how much I love and adore my niece, Addyson Faith. Her laughter is the most beautiful music to my ears and my heart. I'm thankful and blessed beyond measure to have her and her parents in my life.
Just this past Saturday, my grandma turned 99 years old. I'll add a picture of her later. I'm just amazed that she can still walk around the house and make her breakfast, lunch, and dinners all by herself. She is still in good health, however her hearing and eyesight are almost gone, but that does come with age. Many of my friends say she looks good for being 99. I'm blessed to still have her in my life. She always says she's in her second childhood and is loving life. I love her so much.
So I started my correspondence class in Microeconomics with Sam Houston State University. Yeah, I found out quickly that I'm not cut out for it. I'm not that smart to teach myself. I'd rather be in a classroom listening to boring teachers than teaching myself, but I'm gonna try my hardest to do my best. That's the only thing I can do.
Well, the highlight of my day was finding out that my married friend has an "admirer" at work. What I would give to get a red rose through email...or heck, even a real one. Shewt! :) LOL!!!
Well that's all for now. I'll try to keep up with this. I don't have my own computer so it's hard to get on to one all the time.
Take care and God Bless

I'm back from Cali
Well I had an exciting and exhausting week but my mom and I got some relaxing time in too. We left Saturday morning and I started the drive. Around noon, we switched drivers and then around 9:00pm NM time (8:00pm TX time) we stayed in a Day's Inn in Albuquerque, NM. Then Sunday morning we got up early, had a Continental breakfast and then walked over to a Starbucks. :) I found the new Michael Buble CD there so my mom bought it and we listened to it as I drove in the morning. Then we switched drivers again and got into Anaheim, CA around 12:am CA time (10:00pm TX time). Monday morning we bought tickets for Disneyland at the Days Inn and drove over to park. We got there around 8:00am and took pictures then got in line and waited till the doors opened at 8:45am. We walked in and waited for the park to open at 9:00. I kept hugging my mom cause I was very excited to be there. I felt like a little kid again. I couldn't believe I was there with my best friend and that we would be there for two days! We went directly to Star Tours then Space Mountain and then had a healthy breakfast (both mornings) that was priced nicely. :) Well anyway, to make this long story of the first day short, we walked over to Disney's California Adventure Park and spent time looking around and finding where everything was and taking pictures as well. The only ride we went on was Soaring Over CA (which everyone should ride, it is totally awesome...words can't explain it!) and then we (along with everyone else cause the park had closed, walked back to Disneyland. The crowd was not bad at all. The longest we waited in line for a ride was 45 minutes or so. It was great! :) That night when we were going back to the car, we found out that we weren't in good shape. Both of us were soooo sore! Our puppies, especially, were barking like they were going to fall off or something! Tuesday, we arrived at Disneyland a little later (because we were very, very, VERY sore) and the lines proved it, Ha! But we were there for the opening of the park. The first thing we did was slowly walk over to Space Mountain. Then we had another wonderful, healthy breakfast. Then my brother's found out that we were at Disneyland. My dad already knew about it before he left. They were shocked at first, but then remembered the reason that we were there and was happy for me. This second day was a little slower for both of us, but at least we were doped up on Advil for our aches and pains. It did help though. :) We then walked over to CA Adventure and went on the Grizzly Rapids that got my mom soaked. That was fun. Then we rode a couple rides in the Bug's Life area (especially the 3D movie!) that were cute. Then we rode CA Screaming which ROCKED!!! Then we rode Soaring Over CA again (it's just awesome!). Then we rode the Tower of Terror which was a blast! My mom laughed through the whole ride, but that's because she was scared. :) LOL! After that we walked back over to Disneyland and our last ride was the Teacups. This is the picture that I took of my mom. I love her! :) This is the picture that I took of my mom. I love her! :) She's so much fun!!

Okay well that's Sunday through Tuesday.
I'll write another one later to tell you about Wednesday through Friday.

"I'M SO EXCITED" (la la la)
Okay, so, I am getting really excited for my graduation trip to California with my mom for a whole week. Actually, my mom is the one who is very excited...she keeps reminding me that its just a week away and we'll be gone. It's the first time I'll spend a whole week just with my mom as an adult so I'm looking forward to it, and there are NO GUYS ALOUD! Woohoo! My dad will be out of the US somewhere on a job, Jeff will be up in Dallas, and Jon will be taking care of The Lazy G and our grandma. We have a little secret, too, that we're keeping away from the boys, but I won't tell you yet because they may read this and find out. But I will tell you after we get back. :) I do know that we will visit Pismo Beach and will try to get into the Melodrama, and Bakersfield, so I can't wait for that! I'm actually looking forward to not working for a whole week. That time spent NOT worrying about tasks that aren't done and need to be done, will be wonderful. The only thing I will be worrying about is that if Michelle will have Addyson while I'm gone. I've been praying that I will be here for her birth, but I know I can't do anything about it because it all is in the hands of God and Addyson. Well that's all for now. Later.

Mr. Gross

I dedicate this poem I read to my co-worker,
my friend, and my so-called 'grandpa' -
Mr. Gross
- who has passed on.
I feel a warmth around me like your presence is so near,
And I close my eyes to visualize your face when you were here,
I endure the times we spent together and they are locked inside my heart,
For as long as I have those memories we will never be apart,
Even though we cannot speak no more my voice is always there,
Because every night before I sleep I have you in my prayer.
by LouiseOBailey
Your family, your friends, and I will miss you terribly, Mr. Gross.
I'm looking forward to seeing you again one day.
Rest In Peace.
